I actually really like how she looks borderline ratty. Like if she had a few holes in those stockings and smeared makeup, I think she would be perfect. I love that painted lady look and you got that so beautifully in this little lady!

I will have to keep that in mind for a future piece. I want to do more Moulin Rouge girls, so thank you for the suggestion!

Sure! ^.^ I think some good examples are from Moulin Rouge during the Roxanne tango number. They all look more like the real prostitutes they are rather then beautiful dancers. Hope to see more of those pretty figures soon!

So funny you should mention the Tango number. I'm dying to do a really strong, compelling piece with two figures dancing. Some day!

-I'm always shocked by the detail you put into your dolls, especially the eyelashes.:D

I bet they are, hell -I have difficulty just applying life-sized lashes on myself for costumes, I can't imagine working with one so minute as those. o.O

I agree, the effect they create is totally worth it.:)

Just amazing, as always miss. I've actually been wondering what brand of clay you use, since you get such *amazing* detail (and frankly, sculpey just doesn't cut the mustard on detail harhar!)
Love her pose and facial expression, she's beautiful! <3

Thank you! No, sadley sculpy isn't going to do it. Lol. I use a mix of Fimo, Kato and Prosculpt in various colors and amounts depening on the skin tone. They each have properties I love and together make the perfect clay for me.

Ah, you're so talented! I've heard sculpey is bad for detail- and frankly have thought so from the tiny foods stuff I make myself. I'd be interested to try Fimo, but getting it is difficult here. Not to worry, someday ;D
